Over the past few weeks NBA2k15 has been catching up with the latest uniform fashion released over the last month or two in the NBA. They’ve updated the All-Star game uniforms from the ridiculous Mardi Gras uniforms from last year to the simplistic yet throwback style jerseys that will be worn tonight at Madison Square Garden. More exciting than the All-Star jerseys are the pair of Chinese New Years jerseys that the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets will wear in the coming weeks. They are both nails and remind me of dueling Kung Fu factions with unique Gis (uniform). I have to give the nod to the Warriors uniform because of the subtle inclusion of the Chinese characters within the Bay logo and the piping on the side is just awesome. They both have a gold emblem on the sleeve where you can make out the image of a goat, which is this year’s Chinese symbol.
There were three more uniforms released the first is the Brooklyn Nets “Pride” uniform which is a hybrid of their current Brooklyn Nets black & white colors with a mix of their retro Nets stars uniform via the days of the Dr. J. It’s a pretty cool jersey, not sure why they decided to make it sleeved but oh well I don’t think I’m ever going to win that argument. The second is just a black sleeved version of the Bulls alternate uniform. Nothing special here but nice to have it in the game. The final jersey is the Miami Heat’s “Black Tie” uniform which it feels like they’ve worn every game for the last month. In my opinion it’s a terrible jersey, it doesn’t look like something a professional team should be wearing. It has an AAU/Street Ball competition feel. The Heat already had black out uniforms so I guess this is just another marketing gimmick.
