Tonight the Phoenix Suns are going to unleash a uniform so terrible that it has no business being on national television. The Suns have launched these “Phoenix Rising” sleeved jerseys for their Thursday night TNT affair with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The jersey takes a little bit of Suns history (retro Western font) and mixes in the new Sunburst design on the shorts and the ‘S’ patch on the sleeve. This is the second time the Suns have paired orange and gray for their alternate uniform deviating from their traditional orange and purple combination. From 2003 to 2013 they wore the “PHX” orange jerseys with gray trim during the Nash & Stoudemire era. The trend nowadays is not only to have sleeved jerseys but it appears gray is the new black. The Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets have all their versions of sleeved gray jerseys. NBA Live 15 has the uniforms updated as of Thursday, February 26th no word yet on when NBA2K15 will be updated.
