My favorite time of the year is here, the launch of the new FIFA series and while others are quick to build their ultimate teams or test game-play, I love to explore the new kits. Since the English Premier League is the world’s most competitive and best (in my opinion) league I have taken screenshots of every team’s uniforms, both home and away and alternates if available. In some cases I’ve included the goal keeper kit as well for good measure.
The winner for best kit in the Premier League goes to Manchester City and their alternate uniform. It’s a Phoenix Suns looking orange and purple jersey that blurs into one orange & grape mess of brilliance. Ever since I’ve seen this jersey I can’t stop looking at it. Nike has also given Inter Milan the same format but instead they’re using a lemon-lime Sprite looking jersey. Honorable mention goes to: Chelsea’s Black/Gray with Neon Away Kit, the West Ham United all black alternate with the Union Jack Flag and Sunderland’s Pink and Purple alternate jersey.
In totality, I think Manchester United, Leicester City and Tottenham have the best overall kits. Each team has three uniforms all clean and all unique. Arsenal have gone the traditional route and all three kits are simple yet effectively boring. Chelsea’s home jersey is dreadful in my opinion and their white alternate kit screams Adidas isn’t trying anymore (remember Chelsea signed a deal with Nike for next season). The last comment I’ll throw out there is check out the away Swansea jersey, it’s pretty cool. A modern teal jersey that could substitute for a 90’s Marlin shirt if you’re in Miami.
